Michael's Testimonial

My mouth was what I called a “war zone”. It has been years since I visited a dental office and I neglected my oral health.  I felt very aware of my mouth and my oral health, no open mouth, no smiles, constantly thinking about it.  As a result, you don’t get close to people and don’t let people get close to you.  You don’t let yourself or anybody to get close, constantly thinking and checking if they saw your teeth or felt bad breath. It isolates you and you are no longer in control of your life.

My condition had been getting worse for years (5 or 6), but the last 2 or 3 it has gotten really bad.  My biggest obstacle to dealing with  my problem
was money and the cost involved to treat the issue.   However I found that just deciding to make a call and take action was just as difficult.    I was thinking about it for a while, getting myself mentally ready. Then one day I was talking to a friend about it, he picked up the phone, dialed the number and made the appointment.  The process and experience at Dr. Suarez's office was lot easier than I expected with minimal inconvenience.  Although I had a lot of work done. I caught myself falling asleep on a couple of occasions.

I was asked, how did your life change as a result of taking action and having Dr. Suarez help take care of your problem and  I said, "Wow, this may take a while...Self confidence, of course...having to talk to people without thinking about my mouth, teeth, bad breath...priceless. And let’s not forget health, we don’t realize that oral health is important and it impacts our overall health as well".  My friends and family responded to the process and results very positively, everybody was very supportive.  Look, let’s be honest, nobody likes to be in the dentist’s chair. BUT, looking past the minor inconveniences of the procedures, there was no pain. Dr. Suarez was great, and a perfectionist, which I learned to appreciate.

During the process, I thought there would be some obstacles.  We all like instant gratification, we make a decision to see a Dr., we go in, we get the report and we want to get issues corrected NOW. We need to be patient, lab takes time, other doctors involved have their time frames, the main obstacle is patience.  If I had to do anything differently, I would have done this much earlier.  There is no reason to suffer, it’s not going away, just getting worse.

If I could give any advice to anyone who is considering having treatment done by Dr. Suarez and his team, don’t overlook your oral health, it plays an enormous part in self confidence, quality of life and appearance.
